Amy Circosta, JD, is a passionate advocate for equity and just processes. As Founder of Seven & Nine Consulting and Co-Founder of Harassment Free NC, Amy consults with a variety of educational institutions, businesses, and non-profit organizations to design and optimize equitable systems and structures. Grounded by relevant laws and policies, she focuses on outcomes and accountability while remaining adaptive and responsive to the continuously changing landscape.
Amy’s expertise includes facilitating DEI strategic planning processes, advising leaders on complex equity issues, managing compliance with civil rights laws and policies, responding to and resolving reports of discrimination, harassment and retaliation; and developing and implementing outreach and educational programs on related topics.
Recognizing the complexity of working in this field as a white, straight woman in a small business, Amy values and engages her professional network and Advisory Team members as appropriate to ensure that clients receive the breadth of perspective and expertise that each project requires.
About Amy
Amy has over 20 years of experience in the field of equity, diversity, and inclusion. Throughout her career, she has served in the roles of Equal Opportunity Officer, Chief Diversity Officer, Title IX Coordinator, and ADA Coordinator.
Amy earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Honors Psychology from the University of Michigan and her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law. She has a license to practice law in the State of California (currently inactive), is a Certified Affirmative Action Professional, and is a trained equity coach and mediator.
